Ok ladies and gents! J-fort back here to feed you some info from our Monday’s MLB games. I’ll be providing you with some results that caught my eye and anything I might think you need to hear or see. Here’s what I saw in fantasy baseball last night. Enjoy!
Aaron Hicks – 4/4 with a double, triple, and 2 runs. Starting to come into his own. Exciting!
Desmond Jennings – 2/4 with a triple, walk, and run. DJ is also heating up.
Ben Revere – 3/5 with 3 runs. Still close to 50% owned in case you’re chasing average, runs, and stolen bases.
John Lannan – 8.0 innings with 4 hits, no earned runs, 4 K’s, and a win against his old team. Lannan is a very useful pitcher.
Scott Feldman – 5.1 innings with 9 hits, 7 earned runs, and 2 K’s in a loss. Welcome to to the Big Boy league Scotty. That looks like a great trade for the Cubs right now.
Jeff Locke – 7.0 innings with 3 hits, 2 earned runs, and 4 K’s. Locke pitched well but still got his first loss since April. No worries here folks.
Jed Lowrie – 2/4 with a run. Jed is scorching hot right now.
Grant Balfour – Balfour got his 41st save surpassing the great Dennis Eckersley for consecutive saves in a season. Congrats!
Michael Bourn – ⅕ This Bourn can’t seem to find his damn identity in 2013.
Victor Martinez – 2/4 with a run, and 2 rbi. V-Mart is hitting .359 over his last ten games and is heating up!
Phil Hughes – 4.0 innings with 4 hits, 2 earned runs, and 2 K’s. Left early due to rain delays.
Jeremy Guthrie – 6.2 innings with 6 hits, 1 earned run, and 3 K’s. Against the Yanks? I still wouldn’t trust him from here on out.
Kyle Lohse – 6.2 innings with 9 hits, 2 earned runs. Lohse looks to be hitting his stride right now.
Juan Francisco – 2/2 with a run and walk. Juan has 3 home runs in his last 10 games and should be a nice source of power the rest of the way.
Carlos Gomez – Robbed Joey Votto of a 3-run homer in the top of the ninth last night. So, there’s that…
Luis Valbuena – ⅓ with a run, and 3 rbi off of a double and a sac fly. Valby is slowly rising his average and may have the starting 3B the rest of the season. Deep Leaguers, watch out!
Matt Garza – 7.0 innings pitched with 5 hits, 1 earned run, and 6 K’s in the win. Garza on fire. Garza want to be traded. I’m buying Matt Garza stock right now. No matter where he ends up after the All-Star break.
Zack Greinke – 7.0 innings with 2 hits, 0 earned runs, and 7 K’s in the win. The former Cy Young winner has been very shaky since returning from the DL but this is a very good sign against a very good offense.
Tyler Chatwood – 6.2 innings with 5 hits, 2 earned runs and 4 K’s. Chatwood was hit in the foot by a line drive earlier in the game but should be ok. Monitor.
